Chief Engineer reguired for a 44m busy charter yacht, to start Jan. – Feb. 2012. This is no rotational permanent position. Salary starts from 6000 EUR with 3 days accrued holliday per month, full insurance. This is a busy charter yacht with good tips which are splitted equally between all crew members. The yacht is based over this winter in San Remo/Italy, cruising program should be Western Med but is charter dependant. The crew consists of nine, Chief Engineer has his own cabin. The ideal candidate has Y3 minimum with Cayman Islands Endorsement, is self motivated, hard working and easy going personality. No problem with smoker. The yacht has a very good charter reputation because of crew, most of whom have either been working there a long time or returned after some time away. Owners are Australian and very easy going.
Sole Engineer required for a 35 m Admiral, private, currently in Isanbul undergoing a major refit. The ideal candidate is an experienced team player, a strict non smoker (mandatory), well presended, organised and hard working. The crew consists of five so in summer season when the engineers tasks are complete, he is expected to assist the deckhand to wash down daily. When anchoring and mooring his post is on the foredeck and he should be good at line handling. He is also expected to be on deck for launching and recovering the tender and jet ski as well as go along in the tender when there are guests to be collected. The yacht’s engines are MTU 12V396 for a total of 3500kW. There are three Kohler generators. In the summer the yacht is mostly in the South of France and Sardinia where the owner has villas. This position would perfectly suit somebody who intends to stay longer when just one season on board. Requirements: Y4, current ENG1 and STCW95. Salary depends on experience and is around 4000 EUR. Start is middle of December.
